New machine – Sodick AG600LH Linear EDM Machine

We will shortly be in receipt of a new addition to our workshop which is the AG600LH designed and built by Sodick.

Sodick are constantly improving and developing their unique Linear EDM machines and at Cheshire Wire Erosion we are well aware of this.  We are only satisfied if we are using the very best and most up to date technology.  It’s for this reason that we invest time and effort in keeping up to date with new developments in our industry and specifically monitor new technology introduced by companies like Sodick.  We are keen to obtain new machinery to complement our existing equipment.

The AG600LH has a workpiece size of W 830 x D 590 x H 500mm and a cutting area of X Axis 600 x Y Axis 400 x Z Axis 500mm, with the maximum workpiece weight being 1,000KG.  This piece of machinery is significant in size and weight but what makes it particularly impressive is the fact that with this machine we are able to cut to a depth of 500mm thick.  This makes it a great addition to our existing machines in the workshop.

With these advancements in technology produced by Sodick, combined with a highly skilled workforce at Cheshire Wire Erosion, the cumulative effect is that it’s now possible to carry out difficult machining operations with ease while ensuring accuracy.
