A Sad Day for Cheshire Wire Erosion…

Gerald MorrisWe recently lost our dear friend and colleague Gerald Morris who fell asleep in death on 11th August 2017. Much loved husband to Margaret and a treasured father and grandfather, he worked part time at Cheshire Wire Erosion for over 20 years.

He was a willing and hardworking member of the team and nothing was ever too much trouble. He was happy to travel the length and breadth of the UK delivering and collecting parts as well as helping out in the workshop. If he was ever asked “How ‘ya’ fixed?” his instant reply was always, “what do you need?” or “what can I do?”

But Gerald was more than just a member of staff, not only was he my neighbour for 15 years, he was a man who became a father figure to myself and a grandfather to my sons and as Cheshire Wire Erosion is a family run business, he became very much a part of the family. As a consequence, he will be greatly missed by everyone in the company. He was irreplaceable, one of a kind.

The funeral service will be held at St Peters Church in Elworth, Sandbach this Thursday (24th August) at 11.30.
